This enables the two-seater electric sports car to accelerate from 0-60 mph in five seconds and hit a top speed of 102 mph. A 50 kWh lithium-ion battery pack provides a range of 280 miles on a single charge. Underpinned by a “superlight aluminum chassis”, the quirky EV weighs 2,425 pounds.
Open the butterfly doors, and you’ll find two leather seats, a digital instrument cluster, and a large 15.9-inch touchscreen. Production will start later this year, before the Rise EV arrives in showrooms in 2022 priced at $30,000. Next year, EV Electra plans to ramp up production of the electric sports car to 10,000 units.
