In the teaser video, GMC confirms that reservations for the 2022 Hummer EV SUV will begin on April 3 – the same day as the electric off-roader’s world debut during the broadcast of the NCAA Final Four. Be ready to act fast. The pickup-bodied Hummer EV Edition 1 sold out just one hour after its reveal. The new Hummer SUV could go even faster given the popularity of electric SUVs.
GMC hasn’t revealed any technical details yet, but the Hummer EV SUV should share the same technical specs as the pickup. That means three electric motors producing a combined 1,000 horsepower, 11,500 lb-ft of torque, and a four-wheel drive setup. GMC says it will accelerate from 0-62 mph in just 3 seconds.
