“Today I’m excited to share an important milestone in Cadillac’s journey to an all-electric future. Pre-production testing for LYRIQ, the brand’s first all-electric luxury SUV, is underway at General Motors’ testing facilities in Michigan,” the post reads. “LYRIQ is setting the standard for the future of Cadillac and I can’t wait to share even more exciting news soon.”
If all continues to go to plan, Lyriq production at GM’s Spring Hill Assembly facility in Tennessee will get underway sometime in the first quarter of next year, meaning deliveries could begin as soon as spring 2022. We still don’t know who much it’ll cost, though President of GM North America, Steve Carlisle, already confirmed a starting price of less than $60,000.
