As we saw in the first trailer and the recent Superbowl TV spot, massive magnets will play a key role in the film, resulting in some creative carnage that would make Michael Bay weep with joy. In one destructive setpiece, a Toyota 86 gets pulled through a building and slams into a truck on the other side. This stunt took eight months to prepare. In another spectacular scene, Toretto uses the powerful magnet to send two SUVs smashing into a row of parked cars.
There are also some nice nods to the late Paul Walker: the trailer opens with a blue Nissan Skyline R34 and Han drives an orange Toyota GR Supra reminiscent of the Supra driven by Paul Walker in the first Fast & Furious film. Sadly, it looks like the GR Supra won’t survive in one piece as we see it get crushed by a huge armored truck that flips over.
