Lincoln has been a Ford brand since 1922, and for many years it was a competitor of such rarified brands as Packard and Marmon. Very early models featured a V8 engine, but V12 models followed and would power Lincolns through 1948. Lincoln's recent revitalization has centered around the Lincoln Continental and Navigator, both bringing an emphasis on distinctly American luxury (particularly inside) and a sophisticated exterior.
