Sure, the Ford Bronco Sport may not have received quite the same hype as the full-size Bronco but make no mistake, it is a serious off-roader, as this clip from Vaughn Gittin Jr. shows.
The famous drifter recently took to Instagram to share a video of a Bronco Sport powering up the infamous Hell’s Gate in Moab without even breaking a sweat. The example featured was a Badlands variant.
Ford’s SUV can be seen going up the hugely difficult trail driven by Loren Healy, an experienced off-roader racer. At one stage, it tips onto three wheels but not even that dissuades Healy from keeping pressure on the throttle and powering up the hill.
Previous videos of the Bronco Sport have highlighted just how good it is off the beaten path and making the traverse of Hell’s Gate a touch easier is the fact that it features a 1.5-inch lift kit that is being tested by RTR. It is also rocking a set of off-road tires to improve grip.
In late March, it was revealed that demand for the Bronco Sport had prompted Ford to allow dealerships to begin selling its demo models. These vehicles originally had to be in service for 4 months or 4,000 miles but can now be sold before then.
