Audi has a lot of reasons to celebrate these days. First off, it just released its 2021 Q1 sales results and they’re mighty impressive. The German luxury arm of the Volkswagen Group set a new record in the US for the first three months of the year with 54,840 deliveries. The Q5 continued to be its best-seller with 14,731 units leaving dealer lots, a marked improvement over the same time period last year with 9,959 examples sold.
Even its worst-selling model, the R8 supercar, saw an improvement compared to last year at this time with 148 units compared to 97. The new Audi e-tron saw a most impressive 103 percent sales increase compared to Q1 2020 with 3,474 units versus 1,711.
