Granted, those were not the ideal conditions to test the car’s performance, which takes only 3.5 seconds to hit 60 mph (96 km/h) from a standstill with the Launch Control function enabled. It has a top speed that is electronically capped at 155 mph (250 km/h), 174 mph (280 km/h) with the Dynamic Package or 190 mph (305 km/h) with the Dynamic Plus.
The twin turbocharged 4.0-liter V8 pumps out 592 HP (600 PS / 441 kW) and 590 lb-ft (800 Nm) of torque, and is mated to an eight-speed tiptronic transmission and quattro all-wheel drive. It also comes as standard with a sport differential, all-wheel steering and adaptive air suspension.
The second-gen RS7 no longer goes against the likes of the Mercedes-AMG CLS 63 and BMW M6 Gran Coupe, as those cars were replaced by the AMG GT 63 and M8 Gran Coupe. As for pricing, you are looking at a minimum of €122,500 ($147,492) in Germany, where this video was shot, for the 2021 RS7 Sportback, and $114,000 in the United States, excluding the $995 destination charge, a $5,000 premium over the more practical 2021 RS6 Avant.
